Service Activity

The single adults in the Kinston stake had a fun little activity where we preformed service by cleaning up one of the many trashed parks in the area.  We picked up trash and moved large objects to an area so that they could be hauled off by a trash truck.  Below are some of the highlights:

Here we are moving concrete brings and just general chunks of concrete... those were heavy buggers!
Below are some more treasures we found out in the middle of the woods/park.  Some of the best finds were tires, a recliner, and a really old golf cart.  Welcome to the unkept parks of North Carolina!  They are a lot different than the meticulously groomed parks of Utah.  LoL
Here is a group shot where we are all sitting and messing around on the HUGE piles of trash and junk we pulled out of this area.  It was actually a really fun way to spend the morning.  We all went and got breakfast afterward and we had fun goofing off and laughing/talking with each other.  I know the church always says it- but serving together is a really great way to build community.
